Yamagata Trip Day Eight

 

The day began with breakfast at the hotel and us checking out. By 8:30am we checked out of the hotel and were on our way to Yamagata to meet up with Dance Space. We boarded a bus headed for Yamagata, it would be an eight hour drive to our destination. Along the way we got to see the beautiful countryside and stopped at a couple of sightseeing areas. We drove along the coast and got to see the ocean for four hours of the trip.

12:00 pm
Half way into the trip we stopped at a city near the ocean to break for lunch. The seafood lunch was enjoyed by most of the Koshares. After lunch we shopped in the local fish market near the resturant.

5:30 pm:   Arrive in Yamagata City
The bus pulled into the city building for Yamagata City and we were greeted by our friends from Dance Space. We unloaded luggage and outfits from the bus while saying hi to all those we met last September. We met our host families and loaded our personal luggage into their vehicles. After transporting luggage from the bus to vehicles we went into the city building for a welcome dinner.

9:00 pm:  Host Families
After the dinner, spending time with Dance Space and several welcome speaches we headed home with our host families. All members were hosted with families that were part of Dance Space. Many Koshares went home with many familiar faces.
